a very lil' introduction of ducth language

I like to learn a new language others than my own mother language, Bahasa Indonesia. I like also to learn foreign language especially Japanese, Mandarin, French, Dutch and Arabic.

Here I have collection words from dutch. It's just a basic and i'm newbie on this. I would like to share some.

Hello = Hallo
Good day = Goedemorgen
Good evening = Goedenavond
Good night = Goedenacht
Hi (informal) = Hi / Dag
Bye = Dag
See you soon = Gauw tot ziens
Where? = Waar?
When? = Waneer?
Why? = Waarom?
Who? = Wie?
What? = Wat?
How? = Hoe?
How much/many? = Hoeveel?
Is/Are there? = Is/Zijn er?
Please = Alstublieft
Thank you (very much) = Dank je/u (zeer)
Excuse me? = Neem me niet kwalijk
I'm sorry, but... = Het spijt me, maar...
That's a shame... = Dat is jammer
May I? = Mag ik... ?
Yes = Ja
No = Nee
That depends = Dat hangt er van af
I don't know = Ik weet het niet
I don't think so... = Ik denk het niet
I suppose so = Ik denk het
I think so = Dat denk ik
It doesn't matter = Het doet er niet toe
I don't mind = Het kan me niet schelen
Of course = Natuurlijk / Zeker
True = Waar

My son english lesson


Yesterday, huray! My son protest to me in english. He said " I don't understand Mommy !" I was shock listened to what he said but than i smiled. Wow, my young hero can speak out his english for the first time in a complete sentence.

He take his lesson in one of english course near by my house. It's about the third months and he has very good improvement on english. He got 100 score or A or excelent with his mid semester exams.. Wah.. i didn't believe with my own eyes when i saw the 100 score of his exams.

Well....a lil' help from me after went home from work, a lil' hand of mine who helped him along his exams for one week. Tired.. yes.. but it's worthed. Really worthed.

At night before i took his report today he said to me in bahasa "Mom, please don't be angry to me if you find any bad score in my school report." My hand run through his hair and said "Don't worry honey bee, I will not, because I know you had prepared it good enough and try hard enough" Even though i see the score is bad, I will see it good in my eyes. You just have to learn harder." But for sure i know your report will give me a good report.

And today, his school report is excellent. I'm proud of him...

Indonesian Traditional Music Instruments

Indonesian, with multi cultural wide spread from Sabang Island until Merauke. Sabang till Merauke it's kinda like an idioms to express how big Indonesian is. The regions in Indonesia is split and divide by island and ocean. Thousand of Island big and small. I wish i could have one small islan of my own .. :D !

So many different cuture bring different kind of music, language, ethnics, religion, and habits called traditional. On this article I would like to discuss about Indonesian traditional music instrument. I like music and its important to know our own assets and treasure it for our gran children children.
